Murdered Cash App founder Bob Lee died on operating table with drugs in system, autopsy shows

Medics fighting to save murdered Cash App founder Bob Lee sutured two stab wounds to his heart, according to an autopsy report that also found ketamine, cocaine and alcohol found in his system.

Lee, 43, was killed on April 4 while visiting San Francisco from Miami, where he moved with his family last year. IT entrepreneur Nima Momeni, 38, has been charged with the murder and appeared in a San Francisco court on April 25.

A San Francisco Medical Examiner report said Lee died on the operating table and had cocaine and ketamine in his system.

The discovery comes after claims that Lee was dating Momeni’s sister, Khazar, and that the couple had visited a drug dealer’s house the day before the murder.

It is also alleged that Momeni was concerned that his sister had taken drugs and had an argument with Lee hours before the stabbing.

The autopsy findings come after claims that Lee was dating Momeni’s sister, Khazar (pictured), and that the couple had visited a drug dealer’s home before the murder.

Paramedics found Lee collapsed in front of an apartment building after calling 911 himself at around 2:36 a.m.

Lee was “unconscious, without a pulse” and was gasping for breath when medics found him. Paramedics, who discovered two stab wounds in his chest and a third in his hip, placed a tube to aid breathing and performed CPR.

He was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where medics began an extensive transfusion protocol and performed an emergency thoracotomy that “revealed two heart injuries that were closed with staples,” the autopsy report said.

He was then taken to an operating room where he received further treatment before being pronounced dead at 6:49 am.

The autopsy also revealed traces of cocaethylene, which is produced when alcohol and cocaine are consumed, and the allergy medicine antihistamine levocetirizine.

Momeni is the elder brother of Khazar Momeni, known to her friends as Tina, who had a close friendship with Lee.

He was due to be charged at his court appearance on April 25, but his lawyers have successfully pressed for an extension.

They say he will plead not guilty when the time comes, but they have not yet received evidence from prosecutors against Momeni. He is due to appear in court again this week.

More than a dozen of Lee’s relatives – including his children – were in court last week for the hearing, but Momeni’s sister – who supported him with designer sunglasses last week – was not.

Paula Canny, Momeni’s lawyer, said she is not convinced by the surveillance footage she saw.

“He’s going to plead not guilty, and he’s going to deny the special charge, and absolutely the plea will be innocent.

“I don’t think you can see anything in the videos,” she said after his performance.

Prosecutors had alleged that the videos showed Momeni stabbing Lee in his BMW after driving him to a remote part of the city in the early hours of April 4.

However, they said the images were dark and difficult to distinguish.

Friends have alleged that Khazar was dating Lee despite being married to plastic surgeon Dino Elyassnia, and one alleged in a recent interview with The San Francisco standard that Khazar had a drug problem.

“She actually asked me to buy drugs with my money,” said Samira Kuduzovi, who was friends with her.

On the day of his murder, Lee and Khazar visited the home of a man who has a criminal record for dealing drugs, according to police sources.

It is unclear if they bought anything from him that day. A previously filed court motion says the trio “drank” at his home.

The name of the man in question has not been mentioned.

The apparent connection to drugs echoes an earlier claim that Lee had an argument with Nima Momeni over Khazar hours before the stabbing.

Nima Momeni has been accused of furiously killing Lee after confronting him about his relationship with his sister

Friends claimed that Nima was worried that his sister was involved in a bad mob and had been taking drugs.

According to the friends, Lee assured him she wasn’t.

Robert Canny, a lawyer who spoke on behalf of Khazar Momeni and her husband during her brother’s first trial, did not immediately respond to previous questions from DailyMail.com.

Authorities have not released further details about illegal substances involved in the case.

Canny, the lawyer representing Nima, previously suggested that the police had arrested the wrong person.

“It looks like they think they have enough to make an arrest, but I haven’t seen it.

So, until I see it and analyze it, I’m going to say they made a mistake. There’s not enough [to hold him].

“My client is a super nice person, his family loves and supports him.”

Local officials in San Francisco celebrated Momeni’s arrest and the fact that he and Lee knew each other.

They were eager to allay fears that Lee’s death was just another example of the indiscriminate violence plaguing the city.
