- NIkki Healey and son Carter, 11, were sent off the match
- Their Origin cloud had a silver lining thanks to a football star
An 11-year-old football fan and his mother were left devastated on Wednesday night after she claimed their Origin tickets had been resold without her consent.
Nikki Healey and her son Carter travelled from Griffin in Brisbane’s north to Suncorp Stadium to watch the series-clinching match, which attracted more than 52,000 fans. She believes her Ticketek account has been hacked.
“We got to the turnstiles and my ticket said ‘cancelled,’” she revealed on Thursday.
[We then were told] ‘You have put your tickets on Ticketek Marketplace… they have been sold. You will not have access to the match.
I even asked [if they could] take us to our original chairs and stairs [out] whoever was there. They said, “No, we can’t do that, they [alleged thieves] “Now take possession of the chairs.”
Nikki and Carter, who were in tears, had no choice but to leave the location.
She further claims that the Ticketek perpetrator used his own bank details on her account to receive the money for the tickets.
According to Seven newsNikki plans to pass this information on to the Queensland Police and her bank.

Thursday morning, Carter felt invigorated after speaking with Broncos winger Corey Oates on KIIS 97.3’s Robin & Kip radio show.
The young man was invited to the studio, where he met Oates, who signed a Queensland Origin shirt for him.
Oates also offered tickets for the whole family to attend a future Broncos NRL match.
Carter told Oates that his favourite Brisbane player is the dashing fullback Reece Walsh, and the football star is now pursuing him in a personal video.
“Hopefully the bank can figure out where the hackers are coming from and take them out,” Ms Healey told her listeners.
“Never let a mother bear get into trouble with an upset baby.”
