Madeleine West and her environmentalist friend Maximo Bottaro enjoyed a sun-filled day at the beach in Byron Bay on Saturday.
The aspiring state politician and mother of six, 41, flaunted her toned figure in a blue and black bikini as she climbed rocks and waded through the ocean.
Meanwhile, Maximo, whom Madeleine began dating two years ago after her breakup with celebrity chef Shannon Bennett, took a dip in his Bonds underwear.

Before heading to the beach, the couple stopped at a grocery store to pick up some strawberries, coconut water, and other items for their day trip.

When they were ready to take a dip, Madeleine climbed and jumped over some rocks, then ran into the water with her beau, who was wearing white underpants.

The soap star announced her intentions to apply during an interview with Studio 10 in March this year.
The Byron Bay philanthropist, who had spent weeks helping to recover from flooding in northern NSW, told the program she had become frustrated with the way the NSW government was handling the disaster.
“I’m no longer excited to see change, I want to be change. And so I am formally announcing today that I intend to run for state parliament in next year’s NSW elections,” she said, as Studio 10 hosts Sarah Harris and Tristan MacManus cheered.
