Police said 23-year-old Christina Harrison (above) shot Borys and fled the scene before turning herself in. She has been charged with murder and two other weapons charges.

Tyler said his wife, a hairstylist and nursing student, was shopping at Krogers, and their 2-year-old son and baby were in the car when Harrison shot Borys.

She said Borys was the “best wife you could ask for”, adding that she “built a really strong support system” while in cosmetology school.

According to his Facebook page, Borys has also been working as a nanny since 2021.

The grieving husband said that the tragedy occurs only a week after the death of Borys’s brother.

Tyler added that Harrison shot his wife when her back was turned after finishing the fight.

“From what I’ve pieced together, either they had concluded the argument or Alex was walking away. He indicates that they shot him from behind,” he said. WIS News.

Irmo Police Chief Bobby Dale said in a statement that Borys and Harrison did not know each other before the shooting.

“Unfortunately, this is a situation where tempers flared and someone let their anger get the best of them,” he said.

Since then, the mourning family has created a GoFundMe page for a memorial in Bory’s name, which has raised more than $13,000 as of Saturday afternoon.

Harrison has been charged with murder, unlawful carry of a handgun and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

The Lexington County Bail Court said in a statement that Harrison did not attend a hearing Wednesday and hired a private attorney.

The mother of two was killed while her two-year-old son and baby boy waited in the car.

Authorities said Borys and Harrison did not know each other before the fatal shooting.

Borys’ family has since started a GoFundMe for a memorial in his name.

Her husband, Tyler, said he was heartbroken that he will now be raising their two children alone.

The court and the Irmo Police Department did not immediately respond to Daily Mail.com’s request for comment.

The shooting has left the small community of Irmo in shock, with many saying that Kroger was the commercial center of the city.

“That mall is our favorite mall, so this whole dynamic is a ripple effect throughout this community,” local resident Shawne Edwards told WACH.

Resident Tabitha Foster added: “It makes me a little more aware because it’s a tough time for everyone.”
