Moonee Ponds stabbing: Man is arrested after four are left injured near Puckle Street in Melbourne

Four people have been rushed to hospital and a man has been arrested after a stabbing in daylight.

Emergency services were called to Puckle Street near Moonee Ponds, Melbourne’s inner northwest, at 1:15pm on Wednesday after four people were stabbed.

Two of the alleged victims were rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital, while the other two were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

A 36-year-old man was taken into police custody near the Moonee Ponds train station.

Victoria Police said the alleged victims are all being treated for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are on site.
