Shortly after 1:00 p.m., the deer shot through the glass doors like a flying reindeer, spraying glass throughout the lobby before losing its footing.
The frightened animal was so scared that it lost its balance and began to writhe on the ground. Once he regained his balance, the animal stood in the middle of the tent, stunned.
‘Enter here!’ a female voice can be heard yelling while another says, ‘Oh my God!’
At the sound of human voices, the animal panicked again and ran to a nearby window and tried to jump through it. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough to break the glass and he fell to the ground.
He tried again before running off the way he came.
“A deer decided to come in and warm up but realized it was a butcher shop and ran off,” the store’s Facebook wrote in an announcement that the store would be closed for cleaning.
The deer was startled and stood still for a moment in the hall.
After hearing human voices, the deer panicked again and tried to jump out of a nearby window.
After he was unsuccessful, he ran out the door, leaving a mess behind.
Glass splattered everywhere after the deer went through it.
The store is currently closed while the team cleans up the mess.
“Did quite a bit of damage going in and out,” the post read. “Aside from a broken door, a hole in the wall, and some broken plants, everything else was unscathed… I hope the deer is okay and he will retell the story to his friends about the crazy experience he had today while escaping from the butcher. Wow! What a day.’
Despite the messy cleanup, the comments section left nothing behind.
Facebook user Paul Hagen suggested the company change its tagline to “our meat is so good it delivers itself.”
