Middle Ridge, Toowoomba: Human bones found by member of the public in popular walking area

A citizen has discovered suspected human remains in a popular hiking area.

Queensland Police have designated a crime scene at Glen Lomond Park in Middle Ridge, south-east Toowoomba, after the pedestrian came across suspected human bones at around 3pm on Monday.

Glen Lomond Park is a large bushland area known for its beautiful walking trails.

Searches are underway at the park, located in south-east Queensland.

It is currently unknown how long the bones had been there.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
