Broadcaster FOX refused to show replays of the horrific incident in which Zinter needed a cart to leave the field.
Zinter blocked a defensive rival when another Ohio State player fell forcefully onto his bent leg.
His parents ran to the field to see their son as Michigan players left the sideline and walked onto the field to support their teammate.
Zinter was able to sit up on a stretcher after receiving emergency medical attention and received a standing ovation from Michigan fans.
