A representative for Michelle declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
Earlier this month, Michelle was spotted in Manchester filming for her new Netflix drama Fool Me Once.
Michelle has reportedly signed a £1 million deal to star in the series, which is based on one of Harlan Coben’s books.
In the upcoming show, Michelle will play Maya, a mother who experiences trauma after returning from war.
Seven of Harlan’s hit books have already been adapted into Netflix series, including the psychological thriller The Stranger, which gained huge popularity on the platform.
According to the book’s synopsis, Maya goes through trauma when her husband Joe is brutally murdered.
But two weeks later, she is faced with a mystery when she sees her daughter playing with Joe on her baby monitor.
She stars alongside Richard Armitage, Adeel Akhtar and Dino Fetscher in the show.
Speak out: It comes after 35-year-old Michelle’s husband Mark Wright hits back at trolls who claim he and wife Michelle Keegan never see each other
Speaking of Michelle’s new role, a TV source told The Sun, ‘This is a huge role for Michelle.
“Harlan’s dramas are among the most streamed on Netflix and people are watching all over the world.”
A release date for the series has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be available for streaming late this year or early next year.
Meanwhile, Mark has hit back at trolls who claim he and wife Michelle Keegan never see each other, saying they always spend “quality time together” – they just don’t post about it.
The presenter told MailOnline that the public often overreacts when there is a photo of him with Michelle, despite the fact that they have been married for the past seven years and share their newly completed house in Essex as a couple.
Their frenetic careers, including Mark filming for a month for BBC One’s A Wright Family Holiday and presenting The Challenge UK in Argentina, as well as Michelle starring in the upcoming Netflix drama Fool Me Once and Ten Pound Poms, leave fans with the impression that they don’t spend enough time in each other’s company.

Mark insists the pair make their lifestyle work, but likes to keep the intimate moments they share at home when they relax, too, off social media.
He said, “You know what when there’s a picture of us together people will say “rare picture of Mark and Michelle” or “Mark and Michelle reunite after a while apart” we just don’t tell everyone when we spending quality time together.
“I could be in Michelle’s house for two weeks, but no one will know because I don’t necessarily post about it. We spend a lot of quality time together and we often went away for weekends. We have stuff booked up.
“We spend quality time together just like any other relationship, and I’m not just saying that…we really do.”
