Michael Phelps gives Snoop Dogg hilarious swimming lesson as rapper jokes he’s in ‘gold medal condition’

Michael Phelps gave hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg a swimming lesson as he continues to participate in the Olympic festivities in Paris.

Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest non-sports stars in Paris due to his undying support for Team USA during events. The rapper also provides content and commentary for NBC during the games.

On Tuesday, the network ran a segment featuring Snoop Dogg giving a swimming lesson to the most decorated Olympian.

“But MP, how do you get in the pool so fast?” Snoop Dogg asks Phelps in the clip.

“Wingspan, lung power,” Phelps replied.

“You just described me,” Snoop Dogg replied with a chuckle. “You said wingspan, lung power. I definitely have amazing lung power.”

Phelps laughed at the “lung power” comment, as the Long Beach native is known for his cannabis smoking habit.

Snoop Dogg was then shown swimming across the pool in his non-Olympic form, before Phelps showed he hadn’t missed a beat, despite his playing days behind him.

The American has won a record 28 Olympic medals, 23 of which are gold.

“Mike, you’re making this look too easy,” Snoop Dogg said. “As you can see, I’m in gold medal shape. And he’s still in gold medal shape as we speak.”

Snoop Dogg was one of the people who carried the torch through Paris before the games

Despite Phelps not making the team, Snoop Dogg showed his support for the American swimmers last weekend by celebrating Team USA’s gold medal in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay.

Caeleb Dressel, Chris Guiliano, Jack Alexy and Hunter Armstrong formed the team and handily secured the win. The quartet posted a time of 3:9:28, with Australia in second place in 3:10:35.

Snoop Dogg was also chosen as one of the people to carry the Olympic torch through the French capital before the opening ceremony.
