Melrose Place star Jack Wagner says he would ‘absolutely entertain’ appearing on reboot opposite TV wife Heather Locklear

Melrose Place star Jack Wagner said he would “absolutely entertain” on the reboot if approached.

His TV wife Heather Locklear, who rose to fame with him in the original series in the 1990s, is confirmed to be reprising her old role of Amanda.

In the final episode of Melrose Place in 1999, Jack’s character Peter flees to a tropical beach with Amanda after they both fake their own deaths.

Now, with a revival of the show currently in development, Jack shared that he is open to the possibility of bringing back their love story with Heather.

‘You never really die on a soap, do you? How they unfold those two characters, it would be fantastic how they tell that story,” he teased People.

“That was a great finale to be a part of, especially with Heather. If I were asked to come back, I would absolutely love it.”

Jack confessed that he doesn’t keep in close contact with his former co-stars, but when they run into each other “it’s like picking up where you left off.” That’s how I would describe it.’

He shared, “It’s not like I talk to most of my ex-castmates all the time. But when the opportunity arises for us to meet, it’s like… we haven’t missed a beat.”

He spoke highly of Heather and waxed rhapsodic about the experience of working with her during Melrose Place’s original run.

“Heather was phenomenal, and I think the way she handled herself, the whole cast followed,” Jack said.

“I believe in how actors perform, how they show up, how they’re prepared, and it’s a tight ship,” said the soap veteran, who is also known for classic series like General Hospital and The Bold And The Beautiful.

“If you run a tight ship, I just believe you get better performances and the audience can fall in love with the characters and the stories.”

Originally airing from 1992 to 1999, Melrose Place followed a starring cast of characters living in the same West Hollywood apartment building.

The series, produced by TV titan Aaron Spelling, was created by Darren Star, who later also created Beverly Hills, 90210, Sex And The City and Emily In Paris.

Meanwhile, Amanda was a main character on the show from season one, making Heather a household name across America.

Melrose Place was first revived for a brief, unsuccessful run in 2009, and while Heather returned to the role of Amanda, Jack did not return as Peter.

Now a new revival is in development, with Heather set to return to the group alongside original series alums Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga.

An undisclosed character is reportedly going to die, causing other characters from the original series to meet again.
