A woman has reportedly been stabbed by a trio of knifemen who are still on the run after allegedly robbing three supermarkets and stealing a car.
Police are looking for three young men believed to be traveling around Melbourne’s suburbs in a stolen white Mercedes hatchback.
There are unconfirmed reports that at least one person has been stabbed and Victoria Police air forces have been dispatched to assist in the search.
Police have since declared a state of emergency, responding to reports that a young female worker was stabbed during an aggravated burglary.

CCTV footage shows the men jumping over the counter of an IGA supermarket in Cheltenham, Melbourne’s south, and attacking a worker at 4pm.
The men first targeted an IGA supermarket on Bernard Street in Cheltenham, 16 miles south of the CBD, where they jumped over the counter and attacked a worker at 4pm.
It is reported that the same men then went to a Dockendorff grocer on Cochran Street in Brighton, 6 miles away, for a second robbery at 4.30pm.
Detectives from the Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit are interviewing staff at the grocer where at least three workers are believed to have been attacked.
A young female employee is believed to have been stabbed during the incident and is being treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Officers are interviewing other employees who were present at the time and reviewing CCTV footage of the incident.
A third supermarket in Burwood is also believed to have been targeted by the men.
A police helicopter flies in the skies over Melbourne trying to locate the men who are still at large, and a large presence remains outside the Dockendorff store.
It is reported that the same men then immediately went to a Dockendorff grocer on Cochran Street in Brighton, where a female employee was allegedly stabbed.
CCTV footage of the group’s first robbery at the IGA in Cheltenham shows the men jumping over the counter and robbing the store’s till.
One of the men can be seen punching the cashier before asking for the key to the tobacco cabinet.
They were in the store for about a minute before fleeing to Burwood for their second robbery.
The knife men mainly stole cash and cigarettes during the burglaries.
It is believed the trio were driven by a fourth man who waited outside in the Mercedes.
Police said the car fled the scene before stopping to let two men out, who then got into a brown four-wheel drive.
Both cars were last seen travels north on the Nepean Highway
