Melania Trump is releasing her memoir, her office announced Thursday, as the former first lady tells her own story after years of her marriage to Donald Trump. “Melania” will be the “powerful and inspiring story of a woman who forged her own path, overcame adversity and defined personal excellence,” her office said.
The book is set to be released in the fall, but no specific date has been given. It is unclear whether it will be released before or after the election. The memoir will include “personal stories and family photos that she has never shared with the public before,” her office said.
“May your experience reading my book be as enjoyable as the writing process was for me,” Melania Trump wrote on X about the book. She’s selling two editions: a $150 collector’s edition with 256 full-color pages, with each copy signed by the author. The memoir edition will be 304 pages and retail for $40, with signed copies priced at $75.
‘Melania’ is being published by Skyhorse Publishing, which has published Trump supporters including former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and attorney Alan Dershowitz. “I am proud to publish Melania Trump’s in-depth personal memoir, MELANIA, in which she shares surprising experiences from her childhood, her international fashion career and her time as First Lady of the United States,” Tony Lyons, President and Publisher, Skyhorse Publishing, Inc., told DailyMail.com in a statement.
“The book is a diligent and historically important account of our country’s turbulent recent past, seen from Melania Trump’s unique vantage point. It illuminates her core values of unity, hope and kindness, and whatever you thought you knew about this intensely private woman, there’s something more — and something deeper — in these pages.”
The former first lady has been the subject of many biographies and books, but this is the first time she’s telling her story. It’s unclear whether she’s working with a co-author or whether she’s touring for her book. Melania Trump, 54, is something of an enigma in public life.
Donald Trump’s third wife is an intensely private person, spending much of her years in the White House raising her then-teenage son, Barron. After the Trumps left the White House, she remained in the background.
She has not been heavily involved in her husband’s 2024 White House campaign, appearing at his campaign announcement and at the Republican National Convention, where, unlike other candidates’ spouses, she chose not to address the delegates.
She has yet to appear at a campaign rally. She also missed the first presidential debate and has carefully distanced herself from her husband’s legal troubles. There are reports that she will not live in the White House full-time if Trump wins the election in November.
