A solemn Meghan Markle watched as Elizabeth II’s casket was placed on an altar as she stood next to Kate, George and Charlotte before taking a second row next to Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, walked into the historic church in a somber procession behind the Queen’s coffin. Before her stood Kate, Cambridge’s two eldest children, and Prince Edward and his wife, the Duchess of Wessex.
Inside the church, Meghan stood next to the three Cambridges for a few moments before sitting down next to Prince Harry at the funeral.
The Duke of Sussex – who put aside his feud with his brother, Prince William, to walk alongside him behind the Queen’s coffin – wore a civilian suit rather than a uniform as he was no longer a senior royal.

The Duchess paid tribute to the Queen by wearing a set of pearl and diamond earrings given to her as a gift by the monarch. She wore the same pair for the funeral procession to Westminster Hall earlier this week.
Harry and Meghan, who live in Montecito, California, have remained in the UK since the Queen’s death on September 8. They happened to be in the country for the WellChild awards when the news was announced.
The couple were without their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, 15 months, who are believed to have stayed in California with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
