EXCLUSIVE: 13 Going on 30 star Christa Allen ditches the US to move to ITALY in a bid to find true love in new Reese Witherspoon-backed documentary – as steamy trailer shows her getting VERY intimate with potential partners

13 Getting Started 30 star Christa Allen heads to Italy to star in her own reality rom-com – as she takes a leap of faith across the Atlantic Ocean to find love in Roku’s Meet Me In Rome.

It’s been 20 years since the actress played the younger version of Jennifer Garner’s character in the 2004 film.

And now, at the age of 32, Christa embarks on an exciting new adventure as she flies to the Italian capital in an attempt to find her own happily ever after, along with TV presenter Lauren Simmons and self-confessed part-time baker and dog . mother, Dhruva Patel.

DailyMail.com has an exclusive first look at the upcoming film – which is being produced by Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine – and it’s packed with passion as Christa and her fellow single women kiss multiple potential partners while wandering around the dreamy European destination.

At one point, Christa candidly reveals to Dhruva and Lauren that she is “looking for a partner to fan her flames instead of extinguish them.”

And she’s not shy about addressing the big questions about her dates, either, confidently asking a love interest if he hopes to get married someday.

But Meet Me In Rome won’t be without emotional scenes either, with the teaser clip showing Christa on the verge of a breakdown as she admits ‘it’s been hard to really connect with anyone else.’

Meet Me In Rome follows the three women as they ‘write their own ending’ by (hopefully) falling in love.

And because the road of true love is never smooth, it won’t just be Christa who will face bumps in the road.

“I’ve always been wary,” Lauren admits, before expressing her fear of opening up.

And it’s not long before Dhruva breaks down in tears after she reveals to her date that she’s been seeing other men, despite him setting his boundary for a monogamous relationship.

“Daily script deliveries lead them to handsome suitors and magical destinations, where swoon-worthy dates and steamy romance await,” the official synopsis teases.

“When I shared yesterday that I started freezing eggs, my inbox was flooded with love and support from people with and without uteruses,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram Story in the aftermath.

‘Thank you so much for all the love and support. I also had no idea how many people in my community had already gone through this process or were thinking about going through this process.

“I know it’s a little scary for a lot of us who haven’t done it yet, so I really appreciate all the tips you’ve sent me.”

Egg freezing involves following the initial steps of IVF, which takes two to three weeks.

Women use medications to stimulate their egg production and mature the eggs.

The eggs are then collected under general anesthesia, mixed with a freezing solution and frozen.

Seven to 14 eggs are collected from most patients under the age of 38, and the process is considered “largely very safe” by the HFEA.
