The Wanted singer, 36, previously admitted he was ‘bruised and battered’ after his surgery and has now revealed he is happy to be home.

Earlier this month, Max revealed he spent Christmas in hospital after being forced to seek medical help after suffering an undiagnosed heart condition.

But on Wednesday he said he had reunited with his girlfriend Maisie Smith, 23, to spend Christmas with family and friends.

In an Instagram post, Max shared some adorable photos of him and his partner cuddling on the couch.

The musician wore a brown hoodie and matching sweatpants as Maisie rested her head on his chest.

The Wanted singer previously admitted he was ‘bruised and battered’ after his operation and has now revealed he is happy to be home and was spotted cuddled up with Maisie on the sofa.

In another photo, the pop star showed off the dining table ready for Christmas lunch, while Maisie was spotted in white and gray striped trousers and a stretchy red hoodie.

And in the last photo, Max was in bed with Maisie, who was still wearing a red paper crown from her Christmas cracker.

Max simply captioned the trio of photos with, “It’s so good to be home.”

Max previously revealed he had to stay in hospital due to ongoing heart problems and underwent serious surgery after his condition failed to improve.

Max shared a video from his hospital bed on Tuesday: ‘It’s time to go home. The numbers are much better. I feel exhausted, I slept a lot today.’

But Max revealed he is not completely out of the woods yet as doctors plan to do more tests in the coming weeks after discovering a problem with his lungs.

‘A few more tests need to be done in the coming weeks. It has something to do with my lungs, but that’s the least of my worries right now.

“All good, a little battered and bruised and broken, but,” he added, giving the camera a thumbs up.

Max revealed earlier this week that he would be fired and is now home

It comes after Max revealed he would undergo open heart surgery to have a pacemaker fitted.

After doctors carried out further tests, Max revealed that he will have to get a device that stops the heart beating too slowly after they discovered a problem with the ‘lower part of his heart’.

He pointed to his chest and said, “So the latest thing is I’m 100 percent going to have a little friend posted here at some point.

‘Um, I have a problem with the lower part of my heart, it’s called a blockage. The tricky part is what I put in there because until I have further tests we don’t know what caused it.’

The Glad You Came hitmaker noted that it’s all a “mystery” as to what happened to him, although doctors have been able to eliminate some possible causes.

Max, who has previously battled alcoholism, said: ‘We’ve cut out a few things, like alcohol. I haven’t had a drink in four and a half years, so that’s not it.

‘It’s actually a bit of a mystery, but that’s the tricky part. It’s the waiting. My heart rate is really low. They keep an eye on it 24/7, everyone has been great.

‘But the waiting is hard. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those things. Whatever I get, I have to keep doing it. We hope that a pacemaker is a good pacemaker.’

The singer admitted he was left ‘bruised and battered’ after his life-saving surgery

Max explained that he is not completely out of the woods yet as doctors want to do more tests in the coming weeks after finding a problem with his lungs.

Max has been in a relationship with EastEnders star Maisie Smith since 2022 and she has been by his side during his health problems

In another recent excerpt from his well-documented hospital chronicles, the singer shared that he had a “tough day” in the hospital.

He said: ‘I’ve had a bit of a rough day today.

‘My heart rate dropped this morning, which was a bit scary. But everyone here is great and they’ve managed to get it going again a little bit and get it stable again, which is great.

“A lot of friends and family ask why I don’t just go in and have something done, but there are so many tests to be done before we do anything.”

‘I just have to wait until next week and have all the tests done, then they will know exactly what to do.’

Max concluded his message by saying he is determined to stay positive amid the ordeal.

He said: ‘It’s clear they can do something, but it’s better to do it with all the information they need. But yea, it’s s****. But still here and staying positive.”

WHAT IS A PACEMAKER?

A pacemaker is a small battery-powered device that prevents the heart from beating too slowly.

Installing it requires surgery and is usually performed under local anesthesia

According to the British Heart Foundation, around 50,000 people in Britain get a pacemaker every year
