Chelsea supporters are divided on social media following Mauricio Pochettino’s comments heading into the final weekend of the Premier League.
After an early season slump under the Argentine, The Blues have enjoyed a resurgence in recent months, losing just one of their last fourteen Premier League games.
Chelsea were in twelfth place in February and Chelsea’s excellent form of late has put them within touching distance of fifth place with just one game remaining.
The club are currently three points behind a faltering Spurs side in the race to secure Europa League football, while having a better goal difference than Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Heading into the final match of his first season at the club, Pochettino was asked if he would like to see Tottenham lose on Sunday.

“No, not really,” the former Spurs boss replied.
‘We have to do our job and then see what’s going on. I never wish bad things on the opponent.
“It’s always about that we deserve to win and we hope we can take advantage of the situation that gives us the opportunity to be in a better place.”
Pochettino’s comments infuriated a section of the club’s fanbase, with some even calling for him to be sacked in the summer.
One wrote: ‘Please fire him. This is a violation.’
Another added: ‘Not chels and he never will be.’
Another fan insisted: “I will never support him again, all of you who made him change his mind should be ashamed of yourselves.”
Other Blues supporters disagreed, insisting Pochettino’s comments were good-natured given his previous links with the north London club.
One wrote: ‘Guys he’s a former Spurs manager who probably has fond memories of his time there, as much as I’d like to, he’s not going to publicly bash them.’
A second fan agreed: ‘He’s obviously not a Chelsea fan but who cares, as long as he wins games for us everything is fine.’

Chelsea will play host to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on the final day as they look for their highest league finish since Todd Boehly took over the club.
Meanwhile, Spurs take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, where the home side are winless since February.
