Little People, Big World’s Matt Roloff is out of the hospital after complications from a ‘routine’ procedure

Matt Roloff of Little People, Big World is out of the hospital after complications from what should have been a “routine” procedure.

The reality star, 61, whose son Zach underwent brain surgery in February, laid it all out in a photo posted to social media of him lying in a hospital bed on Monday.

“Last week was a bit rough,” he began.

“I went in for what I thought was a routine upper endoscopy to check my esophagus.

According to the Mayo clinican upper endoscopy “is a procedure used to visually examine the upper digestive system.”

“If things don’t go as planned,” Matt continued, “and the doctor says to Caryn, ‘We had some complications.'”

Caryn Chandler is the fiancé of the owner of Roloff Farms.

They got engaged in April and broke the news on social media with a photo of Caryn wearing a large diamond engagement ring.

“Apparently I have some unexpected twists leading to the stomach,” he explained.

Matt didn’t explain exactly what the complications were, but seemed to approach the problem with a positive attitude.

“The good news is… I didn’t need the computer chip and monitor!” he said

‘Scary news is more work to be done. the worst news is that i had to take a few days off from work and lay low. Back in action today!’

Matt’s fans were quick to post their well wishes for his recovery.

“Get well soon Matt!!” said many of his online friends.

“I’m sorry to hear this Matt. But many prayers are coming your way for a speedy recovery and a diagnosis❤️.”

Zach, unlike his siblings, was born with the same dwarfism as his parents, and the most recent seasons have focused on him and his growing family.

However, in a Q&A session on Instagram in December 2022, Tori, Zach’s wife, said, “I think our time is definitely coming to an end, but we’re trying to enjoy it while it’s here,” when asked how long she still thought she would be in the show.

The mother-of-three explained that she “didn’t appreciate all the misconceptions people have about us and our family because they only get to see what TLC shows them.”
