One person has been killed and five injured, including children, in a shooting in Washington, DC, just minutes away from the White House.
According to Police Chief Pamela Smith, the suspects drove up and fired into a crowd in the Carver Langston neighborhood on Wednesday evening around 6:15 p.m.
Investigators believe the suspects left the car and started shooting at people in the street.
They drove away in a light blue Toyota sedan with no front fascias, dark shades and black rims, police said. The vehicle is “possibly occupied with two shooters inside.”

The gunfire erupted about four miles from the White House, where President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were hosting a state dinner for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife.
