Married At First Sight’s Lauren reveals major bombshell about Jono and Ellie’s cheating scandal

Married At First Sight’s Lauren Dunn has revealed shocking new details about her ‘husband’ Jono McCullough’s controversial cheating scandal with fellow bride Ellie Dix.

The scandal, which came to light during Sunday night’s episode, saw Tori Adams interrupt Jono and Lauren’s ceremony session to reveal his off-camera text messages with Ellie.

Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia, Lauren, 32, admitted she was made aware of the situation before it was publicly revealed on the show.

‘Lucinda (Light) was, I’m pretty sure, told by Andrea (Thompson), who Ellie had told that she and Jono were chatting, and they felt it was inappropriate enough to bring it to my attention ,’ Laurens explained.

She said she was told of the commitment ceremony just before the taping.

“So what happened was before we went to the movies at the commitment ceremony, we were all on the microphone and with our producers and Lucinda and Tori said, ‘we have something to tell you.’ And so are the producers. like ”no, you can’t talk. It has to be on camera.’ And I thought, ‘Look, we’re going to talk no matter what.'” Lauren shared.

Despite being surprised by the news, Lauren encouraged Tori and Lucinda to bring up the issue during the ceremony.

“I was like, ‘You can bring this up on the couch.’ Because we need that and then of course production when filming a television show… and to make it clear to the audience, things have to be said and done on camera.”

“Lucinda was, I’m pretty sure, told by Andrea, who was told by Ellie that she and Jono were chatting, and they thought it was inappropriate enough to bring it to my attention,” Lauren shared.

Lauren wanted to make it clear that Tori’s intention was not to blindside her, but to tackle the issue head-on.

“So I want everyone to know that Tori didn’t blind me. She wasn’t trying to get back at me, but I think she came off a bit like Jono,” she explained.

Amid the controversy, Lauren praised Jack for his loyalty to Jono, despite being aware of Jono and Ellie’s budding relationship from the start.

“And to Jack’s credit, he never sold out Jono, which I think is pretty impressive of Jack, because he had plenty of opportunities to throw him under the bus, but he just never did.”

Lauren also expressed her frustration at not having been informed by Jono earlier about his communications with Ellie.

“I think that was the main thing I was really tough about last dinner. It was like you should have just told me,” she complained.

Lauren acknowledged that if Jono had been transparent from the start, the outcome might have been different.

“But I think in his mind he was thinking, ‘I didn’t really have any feelings.’ That didn’t happen at the time, so there was nothing to tell,” she said.

Despite the tumultuous events, Lauren is surprisingly empathetic towards Jono.

‘He was just chatting with someone he really enjoyed talking to. And unfortunately, if you’re in this experiment, it doesn’t work out…if it’s exposed, you know how it’s going to end,” she added.
