Married At First Sight star Brent Vitiello has revealed he has ADHD.
The 34-year-old catering specialist publicly addressed his diagnosis for the first time on Jackson Doherty’s YouTube show pronounced.
He shared his story after influencer Jackson spoke about his own battle with the neurodevelopmental disorder, whose symptoms include having trouble paying attention, having trouble controlling impulsive behavior and hyperactivity.

“Over the years, my mental health took a huge hit and a major decline, more than ever in my younger days,” explains Jackson.
I had no money, no job, [was] living in my parents’ spare room or in my grandmother’s house.’
“I’ve had really bad bouts with depression and anxiety and PTSD of all kinds, and growing up with crazy ADHD, you know my brain is either a million miles an hour or it’s impossible to get out of bed.”
Brent then interrupted to say that he also grew up with “vicious ADHD.”

“I had the exact same thing,” Brent said. That’s why I got into martial arts. I was always angry.
“As a young child I couldn’t handle emotions, so I was so hard on myself and hated myself for not being able to figure out why I felt the way I felt.”
Brent said he chose not to take medication to treat his ADHD because he already suffers from anxiety and fears that amphetamines are not good for him.
One of the most commonly prescribed drugs for ADHD in children and adults in Australia is dextroamphetamine, more commonly known as dexies.

It comes after Brent’s MAFS ex-“wife” Tamara Djordjevic revealed she also suffered from ADHD.
In June, the 30-year-old operations manager said she was diagnosed with the condition as a child.
“I was diagnosed when I was about 10. Being a woman is very different from being a man when you have ADHD,” she explained.
Like Brent, she decided not to take medication because she was afraid of a change in her personality.
‘[I wouldn’t take medication] unless it greatly affected my daily life, which is not the case. Having ADHD drives me a little crazy. I’ve learned to embrace it; I like it,” she said.
