Cameron Merchant has undergone an impressive dad bod makeover.
The former Married At First Sight groom shared a before and after photo to his Instagram on Tuesday showing how far he has come.
The 40-year-old explained that he had spent a year getting fit and healthy and replaced his spare tire with a six-pack.
“The goal was simple… Strive to get stronger every day,” he wrote in his caption.
‘Physical Mental Emotional Spiritual. To be honest, I thought this dad was here for life and that was fine with me.”
He continued, “But it wasn’t about that, it was about having more energy, vibrancy and being stronger and more present for my family and life.
“It’s been a wild ride these past twelve months, but I made a decision and gave myself permission to reset, restart and allow myself to refocus on all the magic that is possible in this world.”
‘I committed to change, discipline, creating a (sometimes very uncomfortable) morning routine and along the way gave myself grace when the days didn’t go to plan and I had a ton of fun doing it!’

Cam concluded: “I have enjoyed the process of what it has brought me and dare to say I am hooked and now committed to another level.
‘All I know now is that if you commit yourself and find your reason, anything is possible for you in every aspect of life! So take it all you want, I’m here to cheer you on every morning, every step of the way!’
Cam’s famous friends were impressed, including jockey Blake Spriggs who commented: “Great job mate!”
Singer Bonnie Anderson chimed in: “Yessss legend! This is epic,” while Ivan Sarakula added, “Wise words and message my friend. Nice to see you and your family well.”

The former reality star said of his ruined weekend plans: “Well, this is fun… Not much of a joy moment.
‘The chills, the tremors, the hot sweat… make up your mind Bali belly, which one is it?
“One exhausted human being here and now,” he added.
Cameron shared another update a day later, saying he had had a “tough 24 hours” but was on the road to recovery, albeit still weak.
The father-of-one is expecting his second child with wife Jules Robinson, who is now due in a week.
Jules and Cameron fell in love in front of the cameras during series six of MAFS in 2019 before getting married for real in November that year.
The couple welcomed son Oliver in September 2020 and in March, Jules announced she was expecting her second child.
