Married at First Sight British fans express concern over Brad and Shona’s romance as they accuse him of ‘love bombing’ her after he accuses her of being ‘immature’ and ‘selfish’

Married at First Sight UK viewers branded Brad ‘gross’ and ‘controlling’ and accused him of ‘love bombing’ his wife Shona during Monday’s episode of the show.

Groom Brad and bride Shona seemed to get along very well during the first few episodes of the series and had been extremely tactile with each other.

However, things took a turn when Brad went behind Shona’s back and approached the other couples on the program to discuss his relationship with her, calling her ‘naive’, ‘immature’ and ‘selfish’.

Shona admitted she was disappointed in Brad, saying she thought they started off brilliantly but was forced to believe she had fallen out of favor with him, prompting viewers to accuse Brad of ‘love bombing’ Shona.

She told Brad, “I feel really bad today. I saw you talking to Laura and I thought you were having a good conversation, so when I heard my husband attacking me, that’s what it felt like.

Problems: Brad went behind Shona’s back and approached the other couples on the program to discuss his relationship with her, calling her ‘naive’, ‘immature’ and ‘selfish’

‘It hurt me to hear you say, “Shona is naive, selfish or childish. She’s 31, but she’s forgetful.”

‘You were telling people very intimate things about us. I feel so flat.’

Brad responded, “It was more a matter of just venting to people because there were just things that I noticed a lot that I had mentioned to you in the past that kept happening. Sometimes it’s nice to talk about things with friends.’

Shona interjected, “Just not everyone in the room.”

“I can understand where you’re coming from, not wanting everyone to know our business, and I’ll take that with me because I didn’t know you’d be uncomfortable with that,” Brad said.

He continued, “I apologize for ever making you feel negative because I never want to do that.”

Shona told him, “I feel like you should just try to love my imperfections a little bit. Don’t get so irritated by it.’

To which Brad said, “I have to learn to love the… they’re not imperfections… but the way I feel about you is more important.”

Tactics? Shona was disappointed with Brad and said she thought they started brilliantly but was left to believe she had fallen out of favour, with viewers accusing Brad of ‘love bombing’.

However, viewers didn’t believe Brad’s response to Shona, with many taking to Twitter to voice their opinions.

One person wrote: ‘Brad Love bombed Shona and now that Shona is under his finger he is switching to the controlling and manipulative side. We are literally seeing the beginnings of an abusive relationship.”

Someone else shared: ‘I can see where this Brad/Shona thing is going. Intense love bombing followed by belittling her and when she complains she is backhandedly insulted or told she is not (fill in the blank) enough. It fits on a template. I hope she becomes wise.”

“Wow Brad, what a snake… He really belittled Shona… I always thought he wasn’t a nice guy,” another show fan wrote.

Another person commented, “Brad. Think he’s a secret control freak. Shona should run away and not turn around.”

Opinion: Viewers didn’t believe Brad’s apology to Shona, with many taking to Twitter to voice their opinions
