Mark Wahlberg arrives back in Sydney on a private jet after spending the day at an exclusive golf course in Melbourne

He has spent a lot of time visiting golf courses around Australia in between filming scenes for his upcoming action film Play Dirty.

And Mark Wahlberg was spotted returning to Sydney on Wednesday afternoon after spending the day at Melbourne’s exclusive Capital Golf Course.

The actor, 52, landed in the New South Wales capital on his private jet looking relaxed and content after a day out on the greens.

After descending the plane steps, Mark graciously signed his autograph for a waiting fan before driving away in a black vehicle.

The F45 gym franchise owner dressed his muscular physique in a blue collared shirt, matching sweater and dark blue pants.

He completed his look with a pair of sneakers and a black cap from his own sportswear brand Municipal.

The sighting comes two weeks after the American star took a break from a round of golf to make an urgent plea to save the Australian course he played on.

In a video posted to social media, Mark was seen standing at the Moore Park Golf Course in Sydney’s east, pleading with the NSW government not to close the course to create a public park.

“I know I am not a citizen of Australia, but I am begging you to save Moore Park Golf Club,” he said.

‘It’s been here for over 100 years and has given people pleasure and joy for hundreds and hundreds of years.

‘Just that people can come outside and enjoy a healthy walk, spend quality time with family and friends.

“Please, I’ve seen a lot of parks and I haven’t seen so many beautiful public golf courses like this that are open to everyone. Please save Moore Park Golf Club.”

In October, the NSW Labor government said the golf course would be split in two by 2026, with 20 hectares ‘repurposed’ as a public park used for ‘sport and recreation’ at the base.
