- Crockett defended cashing in on the insult she spat at Greene
- “There was demand,” she said, adding that she would use it to elect Democrats
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shrugged off the “pale blonde, poorly built, butch body” insult hurled by fellow Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett with a 50th birthday bikini photo.
“A lot of people think turning 50 is a bad thing but I really love it and I’m so excited and grateful that God lets me live 50 years and do so many things,” she wrote on X alongside the photo.
Crockett, meanwhile, defended cashing in on the insult she spewed at Greene during an Oversight hearing earlier this month. She said Republicans do this all the time and she used the money to elect Democrats.
“If I want to trademark it, I don’t do it personally, I do it as part of the campaign,” Crockett said on ABC’s “The View.”
‘It was because there was a demand for it. I am a business expert who was also a lawyer. So the two things came together.”

Crockett took issue with how Republicans were running the House of Representatives and said she was working to make Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries speaker of the House of Representatives.
“It’s about making sure we can raise the money. It’s so I can help save our democracy. My money goes to frontliners, people fighting to make sure we can take the House,” Crockett said.
‘We have seen that the House is run like a circus. We need Jeffries as Speaker of the House. And so if they lose the House, I’m just going to go ahead and blame it on Marjorie.”
After the exchange, Crockett announced on X that she would be launching a “Crockett Clapback Collection” and posted a photo of a T-shirt she would be selling.
She filed a trademark for “bleach blonde bad build butch body” with the U.S. Patent and Trade Office with plans to launch a clothing line and political consulting firm under that name.

The original back-and-forth erupted during a frenzied Oversight Committee hearing to advance a contempt resolution against Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“I don’t think you know what we’re here for,” Greene said during the hearing before turning her gaze to Crocketts’ appearance. “I think your fake eyelashes are ruining what you’re reading.”
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., then erupted, demanding that the chairman “take down” Greene’s words and that she apologize. Greene agreed to have her words removed from the record, but did not apologize.
During the hearing, Crockett hit back at Greene, asking the committee chairman if personal attacks such as “if anyone on this committee starts talking about someone’s bleach-blonde, poorly built, toned body,” that would violate the rules.
‘A what now?’ Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said.
Crockett later accused Greene of being “racist,” arguing that Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., wears hair extensions and false eyelashes, and Greene did not attack her for it.
