Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola tells traffic controller ‘you have to pay for a photo!’ after getting a parking ticket in hilarious exchange
Pep Guardiola had a hilarious conversation with a traffic warden on Monday after he was given a parking ticket for leaving his car on a double yellow line.
The Spaniard, who watched his Manchester City side scrape past Newcastle United and continue their winning start to the Premier League season on Saturday night, was knocked off the pitch after being photographed and given a parking ticket in Manchester.
As Guardiola walked back to his car, a traffic warden handed him a ticket and then asked him for a photo.
As recorded on TikTok, the Man City manager joked in response: ‘Want a picture? You have to pay for the picture!’
The comedic moment comes after Guardiola was spotted joking with a Man City fan during their clash with Newcastle.

When the supporter begged for a substitution late in the game, the Catalan replied that maybe he should sit in the dugout and try it himself.
After the match, Guardiola praised his team for their resilience after sending the players to run a lap of honor at the Etihad.
“This match was proof of why we won a lot,” said a delighted Guardiola, gesturing to his players to celebrate their victory in front of the fans.
“The mentality and mentality of the players amazes me every time. The conditions we arrived under, injuries and no rest, they played very well. The effort was absolutely amazing.’
After winning the Treble last season, Guardiola’s standards are higher than ever, but he knows it will be almost impossible to repeat this feat.
He hopes everything goes smoothly on the field, despite his concerns about parking fines off it.
