Manchester United are set to unveil new signing Casemiro while angry supporters protest against the Glazers ahead of tonight’s showdown with fierce rivals Liverpool.
The Red Devils confirmed on Friday that they have an agreement in place to bring the 30-year-old midfielder to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in a deal worth £70million.
As reported by The Athletic, Casemiro is expected to bid farewell to Real supporters in Spain on Monday morning before flying out to Manchester to be welcomed by United supporters later in the evening.

But the Brazilian’s special occasion could be overshadowed by protests. Around 10,000 United supporters are planning to march before kick-off against owner Joel Glazer.
There are also fears that splinter groups will also try to invade the pitch and block access to Old Trafford.
The American owners have come under renewed criticism after a shocking start to the season that has left the club near the bottom of the Premier League table after two games.
But the occasion could be overshadowed, with fans planning to protest against the owners
Last year’s fixture between the two was postponed after fans invaded the Old Trafford pitch
The season before last’s United-Liverpool fixture on May 2 was called off when a big demonstration led to fans clashing with police, while other supporters held up the team bus.
On that occasion the match was rescheduled, with Liverpool winning 4-2, but Jurgen Klopp feels his side should not be made to squeeze an extra fixture in again when they would be blameless for any cancellation.
‘I really hope it will not happen but if it happens I think we should get the points,’ he said.
Raphael Varane was unveiled in different circumstances before the win against Leeds last year
‘We have nothing to do with the situation if (United) supporters don’t want the game to happen. We can’t just rearrange the game again and try to fit it in somewhere in an incredibly busy period.’
Klopp added: ‘We will get United, play the game hopefully and go home. I have no idea what could happen. But in a situation like this, the other team should get the points because they have nothing to do with it. We have prepared for the game.’
Casemiro’s unveiling is set to be a contrast to the one Raphael Varane received last year. The French defender paraded Old Trafford before kick-off against Leeds last year, with thousands of supporters in joyous mood before United went on to win 5-1.
Manchester United will be hoping the signing of Casemiro will lift the mood at Old Trafford
There were protests at Old Trafford, organised by the 1958 group, ahead of the opening-day defeat to Brighton, carrying on a trend from the back end of last season.
United’s most recent game was a particularly poor performance as they found themselves 4-0 down to Brentford within 35 minutes.
Erik ten Hag’s side will be looking to bounce back against Liverpool, who are also hoping for their first win of the season after back-to-back draws.
