When asked how he felt, Usyk replied: ‘I am feel, I am very feel.’

Usyk will have little time to dwell on his win over Joshua, though, as Sportsmail understands his team is already planning a fight against Tyson Fury to be held in Saudi Arabia this December.

It would take place the day before the World Cup final in Qatar, creating a huge week of sport for the Middle East.

Usyk spoke with enthusiasm about fighting Fury after Saturday’s bout. He said: ‘I am convinced he wants to fight me. That is what he is dreaming of every day.

‘I want to fight him. And if I’m not fighting Tyson Fury, I’m not fighting at all. I am going to beat his ass.’
