The brother of Manchester United player Alejandro Garnacho targeted Cody Gakpo before Liverpool drew with West Ham.

The Reds’ title hopes took another blow as David Moyes’ men recorded a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium.

The result puts Jurgen Klopp’s side two points behind Arsenal, who will face north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

And Garnacho’s brother, Roberto, took to social media on Friday to slam the work rate of Gakpo, who has struggled this season.

Since joining Liverpool in January 2023, Gakpo has been deployed as a central striker, wide and as a creative player in midfield.

He has shown flashes of brilliance but has struggled for consistency, with six goals and four assists in 32 Premier League appearances this season.

Roberto also targeted Liverpool and Jamie Carragher earlier this month after the Reds suffered a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta.

His latest post came after it was announced that Liverpool had reached an agreement with Feyenoord to make Slot their new manager next season to replace the outgoing Jurgen Klopp.

The Merseyside club has reached an agreement on a compensation package for Slot as Klopp’s successor. Mail Sport reported on Friday morning that this figure could rise to £9.42 million.

The deal is also expected to include a move for Slot’s right-hand man Sipke Hulshoff, who has been seconded to the Dutch national team, and performance head Ruben Peeters.
