David de Gea shared a video on Thursday afternoon in which he stays sharp in his old Manchester United training gear.

The former Old Trafford favorite completed shot-stopping and reflex drills with three coaches.

De Gea, 33, was released by United last July and replaced as first goalkeeper by Andre Onana after 12 seasons.

He has been a free agent all season but has promised to get back into the mix and recently posted from the Altrincham training ground saying: ‘I’ll be back.’

In another video, in which he was busy catching drills, stopping shots and claiming crosses, De Gea left the caption: ‘We remember. We rebuild. We will come back stronger.”

The two-time Golden Glove winner had reportedly decided to stay in Spain earlier this year and await a LaLiga offer, but his return to England signals a more open mind.

Mail Sport reported in December that Newcastle were interested in him due to Nick Pope’s long-term injury, but he would have had to take a pay cut.

His last deal at United saw him take home £375,000 a week.

He kept 17 clean sheets in his final season, three more than his nearest rivals, but there was no resolution to a contract impasse.

The Spaniard won five major honors with United, including the Premier League in 2013, and was named the club’s player of the year.

However, he was released and the club reportedly promoted Marcus Rashford on the wages De Gea had paid.

His replacement, Onana, who signed for £47million from Inter Milan, admitted he was questioning his decision to join.

“It was very difficult,” he told MUTV. “But it’s the first time I’ve had to deal with a situation like this.”

‘Now I know the league, I know the people, I know the country, I know Manchester – okay, Rainchester!

“When I look back on it now, I just smile because it was a big lesson for me. But at first I thought, ‘Wow, did I make the right choice?’

‘But I am absolutely 100 percent sure that I made the right choice because Manchester United is the bigger club in this country, it is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

‘Who would say no to come and play at this great club?’
