Man United ‘are upsetting other clubs’ with their ‘ARROGANT approaches for new staff from their rivals’… with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s new regime poised to snare Southampton’s Jason Wilcox

  • The thirteen-time Premier League champions continue their recruitment campaign
  • Man United is infuriating other clubs with its approach
  • Arsenal have FINALLY grown up… they were soft and you can’t say that anymore. It all starts

Manchester United’s enthusiastic recruitment campaign under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS is angering other Premier League and Championship clubs, reports suggest.

The Red Devils have been on the hunt for new top staff since Ratcliffe’s investment in the club was announced on Boxing Day, with the British billionaire securing a 27.7 percent stake in United.

Omar Berrada was the first shock announcement of Ratcliffe’s reign after he decided to leave rivals Manchester City to become United’s new Chief Executive.

Dan Ashworth was the next high-profile target and has subsequently been placed on garden leave by Newcastle after revealing his ambitions to move to Old Trafford.

Mail Sport revealed in recent days that a formal approach has now been made for Southampton director Jason Wilcox, despite Erik ten Hag’s future yet to be decided this summer.

Newcastle and Southampton are unhappy with United over the way they approach new managerial staff, as reported by The sun.

The Red Devils have agreed to pay Southampton 12 months of Wilcox’s wages in compensation, but the Championship club appear to be waiting for a bigger package and a deal is yet to be agreed.

Wilcox has kept a low profile at Southampton since news of United’s interest first emerged in February, but he has not been placed on formal gardening leave.

The 52-year-old only joined the club last summer after spending 11 years at Manchester City in various junior teams, spending the last six years as Academy Director overseeing the development of stars including Phil Foden, Rico Lewis, Oscar Bobb and Cole Palmer.

United have shown no signs of slowing down their drive for new top talent to help revolutionize a future period of continued success, and their behavior is a hot topic with other clubs watching from afar.

INEOS has gained sporting control of the club, allowing them to make new appointments, but the American Glazer family still holds the majority of the shares.

Ratcliffe wasted no time in revealing his ambitions to turn the 13-time Premier League champions back into a driving force among Europe’s elite after a difficult period since he last won the top-flight title in 2013.

The 71-year-old explained that it was important for United to qualify for next season’s Champions League so they can have more financial freedom during the summer transfer window.

A decision on whether to appoint a new manager or keep Ten Hag at the helm next season has yet to be decided, with United currently in sixth place and 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.
