Man drives into several pedestrians at German airport, causing several injuries

A man drove into several pedestrians in a parking garage at a German airport on Friday, injuring several people, police said.
The 57-year-old also drove into several cars at Cologne-Bonn airport in the west of the country, the German news agency dpa reported.
According to the police, there are indications that the man has psychological problems.
The man was driving a rental car and injured “five or six” people in the incident, two of them police officers, a spokesman said. The suspect has been arrested and taken to a hospital in Cologne and will be admitted to a closed psychiatric ward.
This is reported by the German tabloid Imagethe man resisted arrest before being overpowered by police. It is understood that the suspected attack was carried out at 9:30 am local time in the airport’s P2 car park.
Police say no one’s life is in danger.
“He apparently drove into several cars and pedestrians, who were able to avoid him,” says a police spokesman, quoted by Bild.
No other details about the incident were immediately available.
