Magda Szubanski shares sad news about the Christmas holidays: ‘Have as much fun as you can without becoming a thief’
Magda Szubanski has revealed that she contracted Covid during the Christmas holidays.
In a video shared on Twitter, the 61-year-old actress and comedian delivered a message to her fans and wished them the best while explaining that she is not feeling well.
‘I wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas and a festive season. Don’t understand this strain of Covid, he’s a real bastard, he’s not nice,’ he said in the clip.

Her fans were quick to send support, writing: ‘Oh @MagdaSzubanski I hope you feel better soon you poor love. Sending you big hugs and love.’

She suffers from a litany of chronic health problems and has struggled with her weight for years.
The actress fought back tears while interviewing weight management expert Dr. Lucy Burns, who discussed how some people turn to binge eating to deal with their emotional demons.
“I really do create that feeling of being able to forgive myself,” she said through tears.

‘Because I know people say, ‘Why did she do that to herself?’ And I felt like I had no choice. It was the only sensible decision I could make, given the alternatives I was faced with.
“And then you become this shame magnet,” he added.
And it’s like you’re not supposed to defend yourself. You are not allowed to defend yourself. You’re supposed to hang your head in shame again and say, ‘I brought it on myself.’
Magda is one of Australia’s best known comedians and is best known for playing lovable loser Sharon Strzelecki on the ABC sitcom Kath & Kim.
