Married at First Sight British star George Roberts will not appear on the show’s Christmas special after he was arrested on suspicion of controlling and coercive behavior.

The 40-year-old was arrested last Thursday but can still be seen on pre-recorded shows with him and his TV wife April Banbury.

In the coming weeks, stars of the E4 show will film a Christmas special in which past and present contestants stay together in a mansion.

However, MailOnline can exclusively reveal that George will not appear on the show after fans previously rejected E4’s decision to continue airing scenes with him in the current season.

A source told MailOnline that E4 never intended to feature George in the special, as not every cast member will appear.

Last month, The Sun reported that three of George’s exes had filed complaints about his alleged behavior, but the showmakers ignored their warnings.

Father-of-four Roberts, a financial adviser, denies any wrongdoing and has been released on bail by Scotland Yard.

The Met Police told MailOnline: ‘A 40-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, September 29 by Met agents in Worcestershire on suspicion of coercive and coercive behaviour.

He was taken to Worcestershire Police Station and then released on bail pending further investigation.

“This follows an allegation of coercive and coercive behavior and harassment reported to the Met on Monday, Sept. 26.”

George’s “wife” April, a clothing designer from Hampshire, is undergoing therapy after her time on the series.

On Instagram, she said: “The trauma caused by this show has made me re-evaluate things.

“I really do and I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve been seeing a therapist ever since.”

George’s former partner, added: ‘April went to Married at First Sight believing she would meet the man of her dreams, but she is left with this horrific experience.

“It’s the worst result you could have after going to a show like this and all the trolling.”

Earlier this week a woman who claimed she had been abused by George criticized Channel 4 for ignoring her warnings about him.

One of the complainants spoke out to TV bosses about their decision to broadcast George’s scenes, despite expressing her concerns before the series launched.

In an exclusive conversation with MailOnline, she said Channel 4 had shown a lack of awareness by keeping George on the popular dating show, which continues to air on E4.

In a statement, George’s former partner, who will not be named, says the broadcaster has not yet taken “responsibility” for George’s casting, accusing them of only worrying about ratings.

“I honestly feel that Channel 4 has not taken responsibility for their actions,” she said. “They knew early on in the series how George was acting towards April, and they didn’t do anything.

“We sent information about Channel 4 weeks before the series aired and they said they were watching it, but they didn’t do anything. All Channel 4 cares about is their ratings,” she continued.

‘They have fallen silent and avoided the whole thing. They have to do something.

‘Something has to change. People go to these TV shows and there have to be safeguards. Channel 4 has a lot to answer for.’

George’s former partner questioned Channel 4’s vetting process after being cast in the series, in which the financial adviser married former Miss Great Britain April in a romantic wedding ceremony and honeymoon in the Maldives.

Married at First Sight was filmed in April and May and the pre-recorded show, including the upcoming reunion episode, is still airing on E4, despite allegations against George that have come to light in recent weeks.

Speaking to MailOnline, George’s ex-partner continued: “They didn’t know before they started filming, but they were sure about the allegations before the show aired.

“They could have edited it, taken it out or said something, but they didn’t do anything. They didn’t do the in-depth checks they should have done.”
