MAFS editing fail as digital clock exposes commitment ceremony secret

MAFS suffers another editing error when a digital clock next to Rupert reveals a little-known secret about engagement ceremonies.

Eagle-eyed viewers of Married At First Sight noticed a subtle editing error during last Sunday’s episode.

An observant fan posted a screenshot of the scene in question on the MAFS AU Subreddit along with an explanation of the error.

The scene featured Rupert Bugden preparing for the engagement ceremony, which the producers would have viewers believe was filmed over the course of one night.

But the digital clock by Rupert’s bedside showed it to be 9:45am, proving that filming actually starts as early as morning.

‘This was Rupert getting ready for the engagement ceremony last week. Note the time,’ the MAFS viewer captioned the screenshot.

Married At First Sight suffered another BIG editing error when Rupert Bugden was preparing for the engagement ceremony.

Another wrote: “Coworker was on this show a few seasons ago and said for dinner parties in particular, they’ll show up at 11am and drink until 7pm and then serve dinner.”

‘He said you’d be sitting there for hours and a new couple would come every hour or so. Basically, they want to get you as drunk as possible.

A third explained, “Previous contestants have said they start arriving around noon and are shooting until 3am for dinners.”

Rupert was filmed preparing for the engagement ceremony, which is believed to take place at night. However, the digital clock near Rupert’s bed shows that it is 9:45 a.m., proving that the filming takes place over the course of a full day and night.

It follows an unfortunate editing error on an episode of MAFS last month.

During Tayla Winter and Hugo Armstrong’s wedding, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the guest walking the bride down the aisle was wearing a headset in her left ear.

While the device was hidden, it became visible when she turned her head to the side as she walked with Tayla towards her new boyfriend.

Reality stars often wear headphones during filming so they can receive instructions from the producers.

Viewers of Married At First Sight also saw another awkward detail indicating that the popular Channel Nine show is scripted.

Fans noticed that Harrison Boon grabbed his shirt collar and spoke to producers through his lavalier microphone during dinner two weeks ago.

A slow motion video of the moment was shared by the MAFS fan account @mafs.bachie.reality.

Harrison speaking into his microphone. He’s probably saying, “Get me out of here,” the caption reads.

Former MAFS contestant Jackson Lonie, who appeared in the ninth season, said it was more likely that Harrison was telling the producers that he needed to go to the bathroom.

Last month, fans also noticed Harrison Boon clutching his collar and speaking to producers through his lapel microphone during dinner.
