MAFS’ Duncan James reveals how Harry Styles ‘crashed’ his first date with Evelyn Ellis

Married At First Sight’s Duncan James has revealed how Harry Styles interrupted his first date with girlfriend Evelyn Ellis.

The 37-year-old revealed on the Back to reality podcast, he had organized a lavish boat trip to a “remote place” for his first date with Evelyn.

But their special day was interrupted after they saw the English pop star on the boat next to them.

“I’ve got my license and my buddy has a boat company that gives me access to a lot of brand new boats,” he explained.

‘[During the date] I took her to the other side [of an island] to show her a little bit of a different landscape and then on the boat that stopped next to us, which was about 20 yards away, was Harry Styles.’

Duncan continued: ‘He was on his boat not far from ours, it was actually a smaller boat than the one we were on and that was super weird.’

“He probably had about 10 people on board and he just sat in the back, totally disinterested in everyone else.”

Duncan and Evelyn recently confirmed their new relationship, after months of rumors they were an item.

The pair, who were recently pictured kissing and cuddling on a date night in Sydney, revealed in May that it was “exciting” and “liberating” to finally go out.

‘We have a relationship. This is [our] hard launch,” Evelyn told Nine.com.au.

“It feels good to finally just say it and it feels kind of exciting in a weird, liberating way,” Maxim’s cover girl added with a laugh.

Evelyn and Duncan’s first interview as a couple came after they were spotted in the Entertainment Quarter on April 27.

Duncan said that he and Evelyn interacted a lot as friends before romantic feelings slowly developed.

‘Yes, a weight has been lifted off the shoulders. We started hanging out after the show, you and me, living in Sydney, we started hanging out a bit more and then the warm fuzzy feelings hit the stomach and then one thing led to another,” he said.
