Bronte Schofield has revealed the real reason behind her dramatic departure from Married At First Sight this week.
Over the last dinner on Wednesday night, the 28-year-old brutally left her husband Harrison Boon, 35, after an honesty box challenge gone horribly wrong.
Now the beauty educator has reflected on her decision to abruptly abandon the experiment ahead of the Final Vows on Sunday.
“Fake,” “Naive,” and “Stupid” are just a few of the things I’ve been labeled since I’ve been part of this experiment,” he began in an Instagram post.
‘I wanted this to work for many reasons, reasons that no one will ever know or understand. Actually, people’s opinions about me are none of my business.

“I’ve learned that people know what you’re worth, they just hope you don’t, because the moment you realize what you’re worth, you learn the difference between what you get and what you deserve,” Bronte added.
The girlfriend said that the experiment made her reflect on her younger self, who would not understand that Harrison’s actions were not due to love, but “ego”.
“I wanted (Harrison) to see me for who I know I am, a strong, independent, kind, caring, charismatic, fun-loving, caring woman,” Bronte continued.
The beauty educator has reflected on her decision to quit the experiment ahead of Final Vows on Sunday, explaining in an Instagram post the real reason she decided to quit.
‘Instead of showing him that, I got lost in the process of waiting to get cast.
“For once in my life I wanted to be the woman someone else chose over everything, when in reality I needed to choose myself. I swore I would never let a man treat me like this again, until I faced him head on, without my family, without support, and on the other side of the country. No one can understand how he feels until you’re in it. .
“Stepping away from false hopes and promises isn’t easy in real life, but only in an experiment you’ve given up EVERYTHING to be a part of.”
Bronte went on to encourage women in a similar situation to ‘walk away’ as it is not a sign of weakness.
The girlfriend added that the experiment made her reflect on her younger self not understanding that Harrison’s actions were not out of love, but out of “ego”.
“I will always feel immense guilt for trying to make it work with someone who never wanted me to begin with and showing women everywhere that it’s okay to keep choosing someone because you’re afraid of being alone…it’s not, ‘ she said.

She said goodbye with one last message to her ex Harrison: ‘As for you, Harrison… Forgiving you in silence and never speaking to you again is a way of taking care of herself. Take care.’

‘It’s hard. I don’t know if I would use the word regret. There are things that I would have done differently. I’m sorry I didn’t do a better job cleaning up my act before going into this experiment,” she said.

“Oh please, please, she held you responsible for being an absolutely condescending asshole to me,” he replied.
Bronte explained that she was fed up with Harrison always playing the victim and cheating on her.
