Luke Shaw has reportedly agreed a new deal that will keep him at Manchester United for four years.

The 27-year-old defender has been part of the setup at Old Trafford since 2014, and the new contract will take him over a decade in the service of the Red Devils.

Athletic reports that the talks between Shaw and the owners have been productivewith the defender now set to remain at the club under the management of Erik ten Hag.

His previous contract was due to expire in 2024, after the club activated a one-year option on his deal in December.

Shaw has had an impressive first season under ten Hag, playing in 35 games, scoring once and getting six assists.

Erik ten Hag has chosen to reward Shaw for his work, maturity and presence in the squad

His maturity and presence in the team have made him an integral part of Man United’s run to the Carabao Cup trophy, and on course for a top four finish in the Premier League.

The reported new contract has been signed as the Glazers continue to search for a buyer for Manchester United. So far, at least three takeover bids have been submitted.

Shaw joined Man United in 2014 following a £30m transfer from Southampton.
