A young skydiver has been airlifted to hospital after going off course during his first solo jump and colliding with power lines.
Emergency services were called to Lower Light, a township in central South Australia, just after noon on Saturday following reports of an accident.
The man, in his 20s, suffered injuries to his abdomen and legs and was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where his condition remains stable.
Shortly before the crash, the man had jumped from a plane at an altitude of 10,000 feet.

Adelaide Skydiving Center’s Richard Timperon told 7News the man was one of their “newer skydivers.”
“We’re not really sure what happened. He landed outside the drop zone and had a hard landing,” he said.
“Within a minute of his landing we were at his spot. We had people on the way because we could see he was going to land outside the drop zone.”
Mr Timperson confirmed that the man’s parachute had opened.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
