Louise Thompson has admitted she thought she was “going to die again” after her emergency readmission to hospital, a year after the traumatic birth of her son.
The 32-year-old former Made In Chelsea star admitted on Saturday that he was doing “very well” before he suffered a haemorrhage and lost around three liters of blood.
She spent a month in intensive care after welcoming her 14-month-old son Leo-Hunter Libbey with her boyfriend Ryan and is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and postpartum anxiety after the near-death experience of childbirth.
Louise had previously been in the hospital after undergoing a “little operation” in the midst of her grueling battle with Asherman’s syndrome.
The condition causes scar tissue to form and build up inside the uterus; it is unknown if his recent admission was due to complications from surgery.
Tough: Louise Thompson, 32, said her latest emergency readmission to hospital left her thinking she was “going to die again” a year after the traumatic birth of her son.
In her first Instagram post since her hospital stay, she detailed: ‘I’m not going to let this stop me. I learned a lot from last year and I feel in a much stronger frame of mind than last year, so fingers crossed.
‘I’m a bit afraid of leaving the house (or sometimes even getting up) so slowly and I’ll spend a lot of time bored at home, so send me a message.
‘I have to say I’m a strong damn cookie. And I have to hold on to the fact that our bodies are remarkable and can heal from such extraordinarily brutal things. I can and I will heal from this.
“From feeling all my extremities go cold as my blood tries to protect my vital organs, to shutting down my entire pain response when I had 4x cannulas inserted into my arms at the same time in Rhesus, wow what a trip.?????
‘Thank you doctors + medicine and those dedicated to those who improve medicine and scientific things for keeping me alive????
A hemorrhage is medically defined as blood loss from damaged blood vessels, and can be both internal and external.
It can occur in almost any part of the body, and if it cannot be controlled or is caused by a serious injury, it may require surgery.
It comes after Louise’s fiancé, Ryan Libbey, revealed that she was rushed to hospital after hemorrhaging.
