Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was arrested on Sunday for felony domestic violence, according to TMZ.
Urias was released in the early hours of Monday night after posting $50,000 bail. According to the publication, he spent four hours behind bars.
Apparently he now has a trial scheduled for later in September. In 2019, Urias was arrested for domestic injuries following an alleged incident in Beverly Hills and, while not charged with a crime, was suspended by the MLB for 20 games.
“We are aware of an incident involving Julio Urías,” the Dodgers said in a statement. “While we are trying to get all the facts, he will not be traveling with the team. The organization has no further comment at this time
Urias, from Mexico, signed a one-year, $14.25 million contract with the Dodgers for the 2023 season.

He won the World Series in 2020 with the team and played for the Dodgers from 2016 until now.
The 27-year-old last pitched for the Dodgers on Friday, September 1, in the 6-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves and struggled to make an impact – allowing five runs in five innings against one of the MLB’s standout teams.
“Obviously I wasn’t throwing the way I wanted to,” he said. “I gave everything, but I failed and now I just have to pitch better next time.”
The Dodgers play their next game on Tuesday-evening, the first of a three-game series against the Miami Marlins.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said of Urias last Friday, “Julio wasn’t sharp. There were a lot of mid-middle places. There wasn’t much chase or swing-and-miss.
“Obviously these guys can hit it out of the ballpark. If you make a mistake, it will happen.’
The Dodgers are the runaway leader in the NL West with an 84-52 record.
