Logue Brook Dam: Man dies in horror ‘tubing’ accident as a day on the water turns to tragedy

A man in his 30s has died in a suspected tubing accident at a popular lake.

The man, who has yet to be publicly identified, was reportedly being towed on a tube behind a speedboat at Logue Brook Dam, near Yarloop, 125km south of Perth, on Saturday afternoon when he fell and disappeared.

A police search and an RAC rescue helicopter failed to find the man before nightfall.

However, specialist police dive team officers and Ministry of Transport boats resumed the search on Sunday.
