Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami meet Charlotte in Leagues Cup quarter-finals after comical own goal, letting Houston throw away lead
Charlotte FC set up a quarter-final against Inter Miami on Monday night after scoring twice in a minute to beat the Houston Dynamo in the Leagues Cup.
Houston led 1-0 after just 10 minutes thanks to a goal saved by Houston FC striker Corey Baird.
That was earlier, but Charlotte turned the game around with two goals in quick succession.
The first goal to tie the game came from Patrick Agyemang after getting around the goalkeeper in the 80th minute to tie the game.
Moments later, Dynamo defender Micael scored a comical own goal after firing the ball into his own net from 25 yards out.
