Lionel Messi inspires Inter Miami to incredible victory over Dallas… ANOTHER late free kick in 4-4 draw before Tata Martino’s side win dramatic penalties in Texas

Lionel Messi provided even more magic to help Inter Miami reach the quarter-finals of the Leagues Cup with an incredible victory over Dallas on Sunday night.

In his first road game since moving to the United States, Messi opened the scoring after just six minutes before Dallas turned the game upside down.

Going into the last 10 minutes, Inter Miami trailed 4–2. But then a cross from Messi was headed into his own goal by Marco Farfan.

Then, with five minutes to play, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner sent another free-kick into the top corner to tie the game. That sent the game to penalties.

Messi scored Miami’s first penalty kick before Paxton missed Pomykal for Dallas to help the visitors win 5–3.
