Lily Collins is paying tribute to a reality star whose adventures may have helped inspire Emily in Paris.
The 33-year-old actress, who has been enjoying some downtime with her husband, shared a video on Instagram on Monday of a woman named Mackenzie Barmen watching The Hills with the caption “Why is Emily in Paris on The Hills when Lauren is in Paris?” ??? lmao.
‘Okay, wait, I’m watching The Hills right now and that’s when Lauren is in Paris. Tell me why Emily in Paris is here. Look at this,’ she said.
“Okay, here we go, just wait,” the viewer exhorts as the video shows a group of models in a group photo.
‘Wait for it… right there! Why is she here? Mackenzie asked as the camera zoomed in on Lily, who was smiling and standing among the others, wearing a beautiful set of diamond flower chain earrings.

The Love Rosie actress was just one of many celebs to have cameo appearances on the show centering on Lauren Conrad, who after graduating from high school and reality TV show Laguna Beach, went on to have an internship at Teen Vogue.
