Lily Allen, 38, tries on the tiniest tweed shorts and cropped jacket as she asks her fans: ‘Am I too old for this?’

Lily Allen tried on the tiniest of shorts and pleated miniskirts before wondering if she was too old to wear them.

The 38-year-old singer, who currently stars in the West End production of The Pillowman, showed off her toned legs in the fashion-forward pieces.

The sassy bottoms had a matching cropped tweed jacket and Lily showed plenty of skin as she showed off her impressively toned figure, including her midriff.

Lily, who wows her fans with her fashion looks every night as she leaves the theater, paired the look with a pair of white trainers as she posed for a mirror selfie.

The singer teased the look on her Instagram, lamenting, “Am I too old for this?”

Racy: Lily Allen, 38, wore the tiniest of tweed shorts and a pleated miniskirt as she asked her fans on Instagram on Thursday, “Am I too old for this?”

As she transitions from the shorts to a matching miniskirt, Lily was again insecure about the appearance and added: “Or this?”

The star used to be no stranger to mini shorts and regularly showed off her figure on stage.

But her stage looks very different these days – and so do her outfits – since she landed a role in the West End.

Singer Lily plays the role of Katurian, a writer of disturbingly violent stories who is imprisoned by a totalitarian state.

The Pillowman follows Katurian as she is brutally interrogated by the authorities after a spate of murders bears similarities to her short stories.

Starring Steve Pemberton, who plays Tupolski, and Matthew Tennyson, who plays Michael, Lily takes on the role played by David Tennant 20 years ago.

The black comedy “examines the artist’s role in society and questions the price we pay for freedom of expression,” according to a synopsis on the play’s website.

Speaking of The Pillowman’s discussions of censorship, Lily said the piece raises many questions about free speech and the internet.

She said, “There’s a little bit of violence in it. She’s an artist and a writer and that’s something I relate to. She certainly pushes boundaries. I could get a lot out of it.’

Lily, who is used to performing as a singer, said she likes the fixed character of the lead role in a theater production.

The black comedy, which is “widely regarded as one of the greatest plays of the past 25 years,” will run at London’s Duke of York Theater until early next month.

The mother-of-two recently spoke about the challenges she has faced in her demanding role that kept her away from her loved ones during the three-month span.

Via Instagram, Lily admitted that she struggled with loneliness as a result, exacerbated by the presence of her children at a summer camp in the United States.

She wrote, “Hello Monday. 1 month to go from The Pillowman. I miss my home, miss my bubbas who are both at summer camp, I haven’t even spoken to them in 2 weeks!

“Tired and lonely, but the Banya always manages to stir my blood and cheer me up.”
