Liev Schreiber felt the wrath of Vanderpump Rules fans this week after he made a barbed comment about star Ariana Madix doing an interview with the New York Times.
The actor, 55, was so outraged by the profile of 37-year-old Madix in the New York Times that he couldn’t resist throwing shade in a now-deleted comment on the publication’s Instagram post, writing: ” Is this news?’
Fans of Madix, currently working through the fallout from her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval’s months-long affair with castmate Raquel Leviss, quickly flooded Schreiber’s page with the comment, “Is this news?” limiting responses to his posts.
Madix’s friend Danny Pellegrino also branded Schreiber his “nemesis,” prompting Schreiber to issue a fawning apology.
He wrote: ‘@dannypellegrino sincere apologies to you and Ms. Madix. Didn’t know I was in the entertainment department.”

Pellegrino replied, ‘All nice! But glad you’re off the nemesis list and hopefully we can get you in the Vanderpump rules! This season is as good as gold.’
Schreiber also responded to another comment highlighting how the publication had profiled many TV shows — including his own vehicle Ray Donovan — with a sheepish Schreiber writing, “Fair enough. Should have looked before he jumped. Apologies to Mrs. Madix.”
This comes after 28-year-old Raquel ‘dipped’ from her romance with Tom, 39, after their months-long affair came to light in March.
That’s what an insider told me Page six: ‘Raquel ducked. Sandoval isn’t for her.’
While the affair wasn’t revealed until March, both Sandoval and Leviss have revealed that their romance actually started last summer.
In the series 10 finale of Vanderpump Rules that aired on Wednesday, Madix and Sandoval had an epic showdown over his infidelity.
‘Do you want anything?’ Sandoval — who was seen hyperventilating as he discussed his affair during a one-on-one conversation with Lisa Vanderpump elsewhere in the episode — asked Madix, to which she replied, “For you to die.”

After the finale aired, fans of the series took to social media to express their views, with many praising Ariana for being “strong” and “elegant.” While another fan wrote, “The most epic breakup moment in reality TV history.”
Someone else chimed in in writing: “Shame is the new word for ‘I’m a victim, it’s not my fault.’
A meme saw Sandoval complaining about the couple’s lack of sex life and his lost “mojo” to which Ariana replied, “So f*** my friend then!”
Fan reactions continued with another meme of Sandoval hugging his friend Tom Schwartz.
“They are some of the most ignorant fools on reality television,” the Twitter user captioned the photo.
Another meme featured a scene from Gone With The Wind with Scarlett O’Hara crying.
“Sandoval cries like…” read the caption.

There were also allegations of Sandoval being performative, with one Twitter user writing, “What is this performance of crying on Schwartz’s shoulder?”
“Sandoval teaches acting classes for beginners,” added another.
After the finale, the cast of Vanderpump Rules will reunite for the reunion. The first part of the reunion will air on Wednesday, May 24, then part two on Wednesday, May 31, and part three on Wednesday, June 7.
It was revealed on Wednesday that contract negotiations for the Vanderpump Rules cast have been paused in the wake of Scandoval.
