Liam Reardon has spoken out after receiving a wave of hate from internet trolls following his split from ex-girlfriend Millie Court earlier this year.
The 23-year-old Love Island winner, who now appears on Celebs Go Dating, has revealed that despite an ‘amicable’ breakup, he was hit hard by cheating allegations from the public.
Explaining that “people just branded me”, the Welshman went on to say that he was branded as “cheating scum” and claimed that fans were quick to side with Millie.

Appearing on Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng’s Access All Areas show on FUBAR Radio, Liam detailed the hate he was subjected to after his split from Millie, with whom he won Love Island in 2021.
“I think that, naturally, man tends to bring out the bad side of things. We broke up amicably, we’re still friends,” he began.
He continued, “Then people made up rumors about me cheating…and people just slandered me, thousands of comments saying ‘he’s a jerk’, ‘she was too good for him anyway’. You know! I didn’t cheat and you’re just reading something you saw online.
Admitting that people were quick to judge, the TV personality added: “Even now, people tend to side with Millie… Everybody loves Millie.”

Millie and Liam announced their separation in July after a year-long romance, which began when they met at the Love Island villa.
At the time, a source close to the couple told MailOnline: “It has been very difficult for Millie and Liam to make this decision.”
“There has been no drama or wrongdoing and they both still fully support each other and will remain close friends.
“They moved out of the Essex house they shared together and are now looking to the future.”
While they also posted statements on their respective Instagram accounts to update their followers on the split, they again stressed that they had remained friendly.
Long after the split, Millie urged fans “not to believe everything you read on social media” after rumors about him surfaced.
But despite this, a wave of cheating rumors began to circulate, which Millie emphasized was not the case, as she pleaded with fans not to “believe everything you read on social media.”
Liam also opened up about his decision to go on Celebs Go Dating shortly after the split, sharing that he was conflicted and “didn’t want to hurt Millie anymore.”
‘When they first asked me, I said no because I didn’t think I was ready to do something like that. She wasn’t ready to date and date again. I still got hurt. He also didn’t want to hurt Millie anymore.

Adding that she received even more backlash upon making the decision, she explained: It was very controversial of me to go on Celebs Go Dating.
“I got a lot of people… If I had gone on and been too flirtatious or a little arrogant, people would have hated it because it would have been ‘too early’ for me to do that.”
‘So I wasn’t like that… I’ve seen some comments now from people saying I’m boring. So whatever I do, whichever way I’m there, it’s going to be wrong in the eyes of a lot of people,” she concluded.
Liam is currently looking for love on Celebs Go Dating, which matches stars with people outside of the public eye.
But during the dating show, she recently hinted there’s scope for rekindling the romance down the road when she told dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson that she’ll “never say never.”
Celebs Go Dating continues Thursday at 10pm on E4.
