The incident occurred when the rig “cut off a median and ripped the bike off,” causing it to tip over, with director Ryan Coogler, who was in Atlanta when the accident happened, explaining his shock.

He said, ‘I love these actors. That’s me and Chad [Boseman]his sister. Imagine getting that phone call that your little sister is hurt. It’s the f*****g worst in the world.’

Letitia returned to London to recover, with production resumed on the film, minus scenes featuring her character Shuri.

She completed her scenes in January 2022, with the help of an “amazing, amazing, amazing medical support team” who helped her cope with post-concussion syndrome.

The interview came as Angela Bassett garnered Oscar buzz for her portrayal of Queen Ramonda in the film.

Speaking to the publication, the star said she has been going through “cycles of grief” since her Black Panther co-star Chadwick Boseman passed away in 2020.

The late star’s cancer diagnosis was unknown to people outside of a small group of relatives, so his death came as a shock to his colleagues. Bassett talked about how Boseman never stopped working.

“He did the thing he loved until his last breath, no excuses,” the New York resident said.

“We started or dealt with it or grew out of it or moved on from the moment we heard Chadwick had passed away,” she continued. “It’s been two years since we’ve gone through whatever cycles of grief people go through.”

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is expected to hit blockbuster ticket sales in its opening weekend after it hits theaters November 11, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The predecessor to the highly anticipated sequel debuted in February 2018 at $202 million domestically, earning $1.34 billion at the worldwide box office.

The Marvel adaptation, which was also directed by Ryan Coogler, is set to become one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

At the time, it became the first film since Avatar – the highest grossing film ever – to top the box office for five consecutive weekends.

In the original, de Chadwick starred as Black Panther’s title character, amid a cast that also included Michael B. Jordan and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o.

Numerous cast members from the first film expressed interest in returning for a sequel, though plans were complicated when Boseman died tragically from colon cancer.

It was later confirmed that there would be plans for a sequel and that the late actor’s role would not be recast.

Filming on the project began in June of last year and continued until the crew finished last March.

The latest trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever confirmed a new Black Panther after the death of King T’Challa and showed a new hero for the first time.

The two-minute action-packed clip was released by Marvel earlier this month as it showed someone taking the mantle after Boseman’s character’s death, in addition to showing Ironheart for the first time.
