Zendaya’s Met Gala style: Her biggest and boldest fashion statements so far – as Euphoria star gets ready to co-chair event after a FIVE year hiatus

Zendaya has never failed to impress at the annual fashion event The Met Gala New York City.

The Oakland, California native has been five times before: in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

This year, the 27-year-old Spider-Man veteran will climb the famous steps of the Met Museum for the first time in five years.

The Dune actress will co-chair the event Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth And Bad bunny.

The siren said in late April that they were the Met Gala ‘terrifying’. During a performance op Live with Kelly and Markshe told the hosts, “Going up the stairs is very intimidating, and I haven’t been back in maybe four or five years. So this is my first time back at the Met in a long time.”

This year’s Met Gala theme — and it will be takes place on May 6 – is Sleeping Beauties: reawakening fashion.

The dress code is The Garden of Time, which is said to be inspired by JG Ballard’s 1962 short story of the same name.

Vogue has explained that the dress code will be about ‘ephemeral beauty’.

Zendaya’s first Met Gala was in 2015 for the China: Through The Looking Glass Costume Institute Benefit Gala.

It was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 4, 2015.

Her dress was by Fausto Puglisi, Sicilian fashion designer and creative advisor for Roberto Cavalli.

It included a black plunging bodice and a short red skirt with a long train. She added a bejeweled headband and wrist cuff that matched the designs on her skirt.

For her second Met Gala in 2016, she had a tight, form-fitting glitter gold dress with a light mermaid finish by Michael Kors.

There was a high collar and a single sleeve.

Her dark hair was cut in a high-shine bowl cut, matching brown and nude makeup, and she wore several gold rings on her fingers.

The theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an age of technology.

Zendaya wore a beautiful off-shoulder ball gown with floral and parrot print from Dolce & Gabbana.

Her chocolate brown hair was worn and full and she added a red pout for a romantic look.

The event took place on May 1, 2017.

The stage actor stood out in a light-up blue, gray and white Cinderella-style dress by Tommy Hilfiger.

The dress seemed to change color as the lights flashed.

The star, who went blonde, held on to a rhinestone-studded pumpkin tote bag and a cute headband to bring in the Disney character theme.
